A reline is the periodic renewal of the tissue fitting surface of the denture. This ensures the denture is fitting accurately, is supported, and performing correctly. This maintains maximum comfort and stability and helps with ridge preservation. A reline could be a hard or soft (resilient) liner depending on your requirements. Your dentures should be relined every 2 – 4 years. Repairs and tooth additions are carried out as required and they can be of a simple nature, or they may require additional welding to aid reinforcement.
